PITTSTON AREA PRIMARY CENTER
Construction of a new Primary Center serving 500 students in first and second grades for the Pittston Area School District. The two-story, 65,000 S.F., building is sited on 15 acres of a 50 acre educational and athletic campus. The design was selected by the PA Department of Education as a prototype for other school districts to consider for its functional efficiencies and affordable cost. The project was bid using 21 contracts to minimize contractor overhead. Construction cost totaled $8,400,000. Change orders totaled 1.5% of construction costs. The project was completed as scheduled within 18 months.
