DUPONT HOUSING FOR THE ELDERLY
A+E Group provided all site planning, architectural and engineering design services for a new three-story 36 one-bedroom apartment complex for the elderly in Dupont, PA. Work includes the demolition of a 26,400± SF dilapidated school building. Design includes 36 one-bedroom units, four are fully ADA accessible, one for the hearing impaired, and one for the visually impaired, a community room, community kitchen, elevator, site management offices, and community facilities for personal laundry. The design is compliant with PHFA and Enterprise Green Communities Design Criteria, including preservation of open space, EnergyStar rated appliances, and PHFA visitability standards.
Construction began January 2021 and is scheduled for completion December 2021.
